Reiki is an energy healing technique, originating from Japan. Reiki energy is a pure, gentle, and intelligent life force energy.
Rei: universal, transcendental spirit, mysterious power or essence
Ki: Vital life force energy which flows through all things, transformation
Reiki practitioners act as channels for reiki energy as they send it through their hands to their clients. Reiki can be done hands-on or hands-off, in-person or virtually from a distance.
At this moment at Insight Elevated Reiki is only being offered virtually from a distance. Unless otherwise stated.
Reiki helps support relaxation, promotes healing, and relieves stress. When you receive reiki healing, your nervous system shifts from a state of survival to a state of calmness. Reiki healing aims to balance your energy centers, clear blockages, and help with pain/discomfort.

Yes! Reiki is safe for everyone. Reiki is pure energy that flows with positive intention.
-
Reiki works virtually because energy transcends space and time.
-
Each person and session is unique!
Reiki can create a multitude of feelings in your body. You may feel physical, emotional, or spiritual manifestations of the energy moving through your body.
Physically you may feel tingles, warmth, sleepiness, and more. Emotionally you may feel deep emotions come up and may even feel like crying. Your session is a safe space to release that energy.
Spiritually, you have may see certain visions, have clearer intuitive thoughts, or see colors.
It is also possible you feel nothing at all. That is okay- the reiki energy is still doing its work!
-
As often as you personally feel called too. Everyone is different. I recommend listening to your body and your intuition of when you may need/desire another reiki session.

Come to your session clothed in your most comfy clothes if you can and do your best to in a comfortable place where you will not be disturbed for the duration of your session.
Come with an open mind. The more open you are to the healing process, the more deeply you will be able to receive.
Do not overthink the process. A reiki session is a time to get into the body and out of the mind.
Make sure to fill out your intake form before the session. This is a requirement for the session.
-
We will start off with any questions, concerns, special needs, and preferences you may have before we start that was not answered in your consultation or that you may have in the moment.
You will then get into a position that feels comfortable for the duration of your session. But it is okay if you ended up moving or switching positions, the priority is that you’re comfortable.
You can then set an intention for the session if you wish, the option to share that intention with me is up to you. Reiki will flow where it needs to go no matter what.
I will then tell you to take a few deep breaths as we begin the session, I will inform you when I am done with the session and I all you have to do is receive the reiki.
You may feel very sleepy, go into a dream-like state, or even go to sleep! This is normal! Please let your body relax. Additionally, you may stop or pause your session at any time by making a verbal request, if needed or if you feel uncomfortable for any reason.
-
Ideally after a reiki session, you will overall feel relaxed and balanced.
But to help with the continued healing process after your session I recommend:
drinking plenty of water
eating a nourishing meal
rest as much as you can
You might experience a range of emotions after a Reiki session, so allow yourself to experience those emotions and release them as need be. Journaling can help with this process.
Do not over think if you don’t feel any difference at all, reiki still works even if you don’t feel an immediate physical or emotional shift during or after your session. Things are still moving energetically either way.
